If you are eligible for a COVID vaccination and in the national cohorts one to nine, you can get your first dose of the COVID vaccination from a number of walk-in and pop-up clinics this week. The current list of additional COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinics in South-East London can be seen here.
Firstly, some great feedback from Ros, a volunteer at last week's pop up vaccine centre in Brixton: "Inviting people for their vaccination on a sunny afternoon in Brixton and then later helping with crowd control at the library was so much fun and incredibly life affirming. It was a privilege to be allowed to help and I would be so pleased to do it again. I'd recommend it to anyone and will absolutely sign up the very next time I possibly can." The Power Of Festival, in partnership with leading camera equipment company Nikon and creative street advertising agency Jack, have launched a nationwide competition to find emerging black British photography talent, who capture what the Power Of Black Identity represents to them.
StreetWorks is a unique community-led project to improve Norwood and Tulse Hill. The project is funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. The Norwood Forum, the Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups are working together with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better space, remove the one-way system at Tulse Hill and provide training and support for future local projects.
