Veolia, Lambeth Council’s contractor, advises:
"Only 30% of Lambeth households are using the kerbside food recycling service - even though its so easy to recycle. So we’re making it easier still to remember what, where, when & how to recycle food waste. Lambeth’s food waste recycling service has been running for almost six years. We think it’s time to remind everyone about how easy it is to recycle food waste, and give people a helping hand to get started. Its available for all kerbside properties to use.
Last summer Field Day and Mighty Hoopla held a three day music festival over the first weekend of June. This year, Mighty Hoopla has applied to hold a two-day event: 8-9 June 2019 with around 25,000 people over two days and a smaller event footprint than last year. The second day would be a new funk, soul and jazz festival called Cross the Tracks.
One community engagement session has already been held, and an additional community engagement session is now to be held (see details below).

StreetWorks was a unique community-led project to improve the streetscape in West Norwood and Tulse Hill. The project was funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. Norwood Forum, Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups worked together in collaboration with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better public spaces. What the project never managed to achieve was the removal of the Tulse Hill Gyratory - the flagship project in this scheme - due to the financial situation changing drastically for TfL in 2019.
