TfL has now published the service changes and cuts it will introduce following the Central London Bus Review consultation held this summer; this includes chnages to routes 3, 59 and 133.
The Lambeth Horticultural Society is helping the Cheviot Gardens Extra Care Home in West Norwood to set up a gardening club. There will be four bulb-planting sessions on 24 November and 8, 15 and 22 December 2022 from 2 to 4pm.
Following a large number of objections (including our own) to their original proposals, we are pleased to learn that the Boundary Commission for England has ditched its plans to split West Norwood between two Parliamentary constituencies. The Dulwich and West Norwood constituency will remain largely unchanged in the latest published proposals for the country-wide boundary review of parliamentary constituencies. But there is now a further consultation period and we would encourage everyone to write to support the latest proposals (see further below in this article).
StreetWorks was a unique community-led project to improve the streetscape in West Norwood and Tulse Hill. The project was funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. Norwood Forum, Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups worked together in collaboration with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better public spaces. What the project never managed to achieve was the removal of the Tulse Hill Gyratory - the flagship project in this scheme - due to the financial situation changing drastically for TfL in 2019.
