Lambeth Council has been awarded funding by the Department of Education (DfE) to co-ordinate a local Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) Programme during Spring, Summer, and Winter school holidays, 2023. This programme will deliver free activities and healthy food for school-aged children and young people (4 to 16 years old, Reception to Year 11) eligible for and in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM).
In recent months there has been speculation in the newspapers and on television about the prospect of planned power cuts this winter in the unlikely scenario of a national energy shortage this winter. Community TechAid's mission is to be a force for closing the digital divide by providing technology and skills to the communities in Lambeth, whilst recycling, reusing and repairing e-waste. To help achieve this goal, they are are excited to announce that they are looking for three new trustees to join their board.
StreetWorks is a unique community-led project to improve Norwood and Tulse Hill. The project is funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. The Norwood Forum, the Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups are working together with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better space, remove the one-way system at Tulse Hill and provide training and support for future local projects.
