As part of Lambeth Council's 2030 Borough Plan, an action plan is being developed to support the local approach to becoming an Age Friendly borough, and consultation is now underway on the draft.
The age friendly forum, Age Today, has already given feedback which has informed the approach to this consultation and will continue to feed into the action plan’s development after the consultation has closed.
The draft action plan brings together actions to support residents above the age of 50 and focuses on key areas of community life which are known to be important in supporting people to age well. These include transport, outdoor spaces and buildings, housing, social participation and inclusion, civic participation and employment, community support and health services, and communication and information.
