Transport for London (TfL) will be proceeding with the range of interim interventions at the Tulse Hill gyratory traffic which aim to improve safety for pedestrians and other road users in this area by slowing the speed of traffic on approach to the pedestrian crossings. This follows the TfL consultation on the scheme, which we reported a few weeks ago.

Every Winter, St Luke’s Church in West Norwood opens its doors to a small group of people who have no permanent place to live. They are invited to come into a warm room, eat a meal, stay the night and have breakfast in the morning.

Kingswood Arts has launched a Crowdfunder campaign to raise £20,000 for a recording studio and youth club at Kingswood House! Their goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where young people from the Kingswood estate can explore their creativity and build new skills.

Transform Tulse Hill

About StreetWorks

StreetWorks was a unique community-led project to improve the streetscape in West Norwood and Tulse Hill. The project was funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. Norwood Forum, Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups worked together in collaboration with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better public spaces. What the project never managed to achieve was the removal of the Tulse Hill Gyratory - the flagship project in this scheme - due to the financial situation changing drastically for TfL in 2019.

About Transform Tulse Hill

A new community led campaign has now risen from the ashes of StreetWorks - Transform Tulse Hill - and Norwood Forum is very, very pleased to support this project. Find out all about it here: www.transformtulsehill.org.uk
