St. Martins-in-the-Fields High School for Girls on Tulse Hill has announced it is to close to Years 7, 8 & 9 from 31 August 2023, and remain open until August 2024 only to enable Years 10 & 12 to complete their qualifications. See announcement letter below for more information.

Lambeth residents are marking the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on 6 May, 7 May and 8 May 2023 with dozens of Coronation Big Lunch street parties.

The local community in Lambeth, the home of the Windrush Generation, is working with the council on an extra special celebration this summer to mark the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain. Events proposed for 22 June 2023 include a procession to Brixton’s Windrush Square and a local education programme.
