Holocaust Memorial Day event next Sunday 22 January 2023

Lambeth’s communities are invited to join a Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) commemoration event on Sunday, 22 January at Lambeth Town Hall. The event programme includes a keynote speech from Holocaust survivor Joan Salter MBE, as well as readings and musical performances from children from Lambeth schools and a welcome note from Council Leader, Councillor Claire Holland. The event will also be available to watch online for people who cannot attend in person, and will be Lambeth's first live HMD event since before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Crafting workshops: Woven Stories

These adult workshops are designed for experienced and non-experienced crafters, using machine embroidery, felting and fabric printing to contribute towards large-scale wall hangings as part of Lambeth Wellbeing Funded projects.

Lambeth Council has sent a reminder that their consultation on the initial design ideas for their proposals to introduce a new LTN in Streatham Wells will close on Sunday 8 January 2023. So if you want to have your say on the designs, do so now:

Xmas tree collections

Lambeth Council advise that household and estate Christmas Tree collections began on 2 January and will be collected on your rubbish and recycling collection day, up until 15 January. Once collected they will be turned into compost.
