News

The Good Parks for London report has rated the parks and green spaces in Lambeth as ‘outstanding; the report compared all 32 local authorities in 10 different categories to generate the result.

Just over the borough border in Sydenham Hill Woods a resolute campagin is being waged to save two oak trees at Cox's Walk footbridge from being cut down by Southwark Council.  The Council's reasons for the removal of the trees can be read here.

Request from our local Salvation Army:
'SOS to our lovely West Norwood Community members!!
We've been working diligently, teamed with Upper Norwood, to get through our lists of children and match them with the perfect gifts received —but we've now had 400+ more requests for gifts for our local children and we're running low.'
Please help if you can and share this appeal today!

About StreetWorks

StreetWorks is a unique community-led project to improve Norwood and Tulse Hill.  The project is funded by Transport for London and supported by officers at Lambeth Council. The Norwood Forum, the Tulse Hill Forum, local councillors and community groups are working together with residents, businesses, schools and road users to design a better space, remove the one-way system at Tulse Hill and provide training and support for future local projects.
