Drive for blood donors from Black communities

Lambetrh Council is encouraging people from Black communities to give blood in support of the Bonded by Blood: A Mother’s Story campaign and help the 15,000 people in the UK living with Sickle Cell.

Flu vaccine and Covid-19 booster

Those eligible for the free flu vaccine and COVID-19 booster jab are being urged to book their appointments as soon as possible in a new NHS film campaign (see below) aiming to help give peole the best possible protection this winter. The campaign is launched as new research released today suggests that adults in England are severely underestimating the combined threat of COVID-19 and flu this winter.

Station to Station

Station to Station, our local Business Improvement District, will continue to operate for the next five years following the resounding Yes vote in the recent ballot of local businesses.

Community connectors training course

The next four day training course to become a community connector is comng up. Connectors support local people by signposting them to suitable local statutory and voluntary support and to enhance partnership working between connectors and services.

Lambeth Open

On the first weekend of October artists and makers across the borough of Lambeth again open their studios, work spaces and homes to the public. Doors will be open 2-3 October from 10am to 6pm both days (check web site for dates and times of private views).
