The Metropolitan Police Commissioner issued a consultation on a Turnaround Plan: More Trust, Less Crime and High Standards to respond to the problems found in the report of the Baroness Casey Review .

There has been a lot of  press comment on the findings of the Casey review. The Commissioner’s plan focuses on returning to traditional neighbourhood policing, protection and safeguarding, rebuilding links between officers and the communities they police with socially inclusive recruitment and volunteering programmes.
