We have received a flurry of very welcome newsletters over the past few days illustrating clearly how much is going on in our local community.

River Effra bursts its banks!

Well not quite but the latest Thames Water mains burst in West Norwood town centre from Saturday 27 January 2024 closed Norwood High Street to all traffic from outside West Norwood Cemetery to Dunbar Street. For the avoidance of any doubt, buses and all traffic are now able to travel both northbound and southbound through the town centre.

Lambeth Health & Wellbeing Bus

Lambeth Health & Wellbeing Bus will be visiting our area this week and next, offering health advice sessions focusing on heart health.

West Norwood Feast: Volunteer Directors sought

Feast is West Norwood's well-established and much-loved monthly community-focused market/Festival which features over 70 traders offering superb quality hot food, fresh produce, arts & crafts and vintage products to the local community. Live music and children’s activities are also featured, and its a place where the whole community can gather for a great day out.
 

Maternity Learning Hub to be launched by Five X More

FiveXMore is dedicated to supporting mothers with its campaigning work and recommendations. It focuses on empowering Black women to make informed choices and advocate for themselves throughout their pregnancies and after childbirth.
 

Lambeth Country Show 2024

This year's free to enter Lambeth Country Show will be held over the weekend 8-9 June 2024. And its the 50th anniversary! 

This summer’s show will keep its distinctive celebration, highlighting the best of both the city and countryside. The show remains as one of the biggest free community festivals in the country, and planning is now underway.
