Lambeth estates and flats to trial food waste recycling

Lambeth Council is to trial food waste recycling at 3000 estate and flat properties, in order to help make our borough cleaner, greener and fairer for all. To date these properties have not had access to food waste recycling facilities. 

Lambeth Parks named as best in London

The Good Parks for London report has rated the parks and green spaces in Lambeth as ‘outstanding; the report compared all 32 local authorities in 10 different categories to generate the result. 

Cox’s Walk footbridge: campaign to save oak trees

Just over the borough border in Sydenham Hill Woods a resolute campagin is being waged to save two oak trees at Cox's Walk footbridge from being cut down by Southwark Council.  The Council's reasons for the removal of the trees can be read here.

Norwood and Brixton Foodbank: donations sought

Norwood and Brixton Foodbank expect to deliver over 500 Christmas parcels this year.  They are keen to receive seasonal food items but please remember not to include any alcohol.
