This free on-line seminar is run by Healthwatch Lambeth and is designed to answer a lot of questions people might have about the vaccine, its efficacy and how its being administered.

Lambeth Libraries are closing from 12 January 2021

Statement from Lambeth Libraries at 1pm today, 11 January 2021:
Lambeth Libraries regrets to inform you that due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in London we have taken the decision to close all Lambeth Libraries until the situation improves. For our digital services and online events please visit lambeth.gov.uk/libraries

They have just confirmed this includes access to Library computers.

GNK Planning Appeal

Norwood Action Group and Norwood Forum have jointly objected to the current planning appeal by GNK on Norwood High Street. GNK is currently operating in contravention of their own plan to manage their own and customer's traffic and instead have chosen to use their yard for other purposes. The parking and movement of vehicles on Norwood High Street is continuing to cause congestion that impacts buses, general traffic, pedestrians and cyclists. As stated in our conclusion:

Hill, Brook and Dale Patient Engagement Group

The first meeting of the Patient Engagement Group (PEG) for the Hill, Brook and Dale Primary Care Network (HBD PCN) is to be held 1pm-2.30-pm on 10 February. The HBD PCN includes the Knights Hill, Herne Hill, Brixton Hill, Deerbrook and Northwood GP Practices). The intention is to record the meeting for viewing by those unable to attend.

Volunteering opportunities this week

This week's opportunites are set out below. Volunteering in locations that are Covid-protected, in roles that cannot be done from home, is allowed under the lockdown but please only consider roles that are close to home that you can travel to safely. Please read the government guidelines; you must stay home unless the listed exceptionsa pply - which includes volunteering.

Rapid testing for Covid-19 if you have no symptoms

Around one in three people with Covid-19 do not have any symptoms, but they can still pass it on. You can get a quick free test at a local site in Lambeth to check if you have Covid-19, with results usually returned to you within an hour.
