Lambeth Horticultural Society hut reopens

Have you got into gardening during lockdown? Are you giving your garden a makeover? Are you looking for good gardening advice as well as compost, tools and supplies?

Pride month

Lambeth Council is marking Pride month with a series of events:

All Alone, Together

An Initiative by the Upper Norwood Library Hub working in partnership with local artists, and funded by Arts Council England. They are looking to commission a diversity of local artists with exciting and high-quality content for live-streaming and where possible in the library hub when it re-opens.

National Open Garden Scheme

This year’s open garden scheme has both pre-booked and on-line gardens. Where gardens are open, pre-booking is essential; pre-paid tickets will be available from Monday each week for all gardens open over the following ten days.

West Norwood Library to reopen?

We understand that the Council's current intention is to re-open four to six libraries from mid-July, depending on progress with the Government’s relaxation of the lockdown, and the practical limitations of each library's layout.

Initial indications are that book loans will be on a click-and-collect basis, with titles ordered by phone or on-line, with only the librarians having access to the books.  Internet access via the library computers will be by prior appointment only, with priority for those needing them for work purposes. Events will not return for some while.
