Thinking of joining a choir?

New members are sought by the Lambeth Ladies Choir, which meets for rehearsals at Chatsworth Baptist Church Hall, Chatsworth Way, West Norwood, SE27 9HN every Friday afternoon. Spring term starts tomorrow Friday 10 January.

MYcommunity directory

Age UK has set up a directory to look for information, help, care and support in Lambeth. Everything from practical services, like advice on benefits and finding help at home to community services like social activites and help with health and wellbeing.

Meetings for local organisations

There are a number of meetings over the coming weeks that will be of interest to members of local Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations and local people.

Book Refuge: books for the homeless

A resident of Lambeth has been named one of the ‘Top 100 Changemakers of 2020’ by the Big Issue for her role in making literature more accessible to those who have been made homeless. Through her project Book Refuge, more than 30 homeless services have received books to start their own mini-libraries, with many of these located in the Lambeth area.

Fees waived for EU citizens applying for settled status

Lambeth Council is supporting EU residents applying for settled status ahead of Brexit, with fee free identity document scanning for those applying to the government’s EU Settlement Scheme.

EU, EEA or Swiss citizens, and their families, living in the UK can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK after 30 June 2021. Successful applications result in either settled or pre-settled status.
