High Trees Crowdfunding Campaign

Plans are underway to refurbish St.Martins Learning Centre, and to ensure the local community decides on the design for the external façade. The building is in increasing state of disrepair with no capital investment for over 22 years, and this has adversely affected the work undertaken and services delivered by High Trees, even more so since Covid 19.  

Covid-19 vaccine walk in clinics

Details of no appointment needed, temporary walk-in clinics today (28 May) and over this and next weekend, and a reminder on the ongoing walk-in clinic at the Streatham Place Surgery on Wednesdays.

Lambeth’s Economic Resilience Fund (Phase Two) launched

Phase 2 of the Lambeth Economic Resilience Fund will support businesses which continue to be most severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. As the economy begins to reopen, these grants will support businesses to recover and help Lambeth high streets to reopen safely, building on Phase 1 which provided over 600 cash grants to businesses across Lambeth.  The second phase will target:  

Restoration of Grade II* listed Brockwell Hall announced

Great news! Lambeth Council, in partnership with Brockwell Park Community Partners, has been granted £3.3million by the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards a project to restore the Grade II* listed Brockwell Hall, its Stables and Coach House into a venue for community and commercial use. 

Lambeth Council marks first anniversary of George Floyd’s murder

Today Lambeth Council is lighting up Lambeth Town Hall in the colour purple to mark one year since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. His murder by a white police officer in the US a year ago on 25 May, 2020 sparked international protests and saw Black communities declare the fight for equality and against discrimination is far from being achieved.
