Judge rejects claims against Lambeth’s low traffic neighbourhoods

On Monday a High Court judge rejected a challenge made in relation to Lambeth’s low traffic neighbourhoods, which have seen some roads in the borough closed to vehicle access. The road closures formed part of the council’s emergency transport plan in response to the coronavirus pandemic, to help aid social distancing and encourage active travel such as cycling and walking.

Have your say on five ward boundary change proposals

After the earlier consultation, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) final report on ward boundary changes was due on Monday 29 June. Instead the LGBCE has come up with revised proposals for our area and an area in Clapham:

Bat's highway

A Small Studio, a local architecture and landscape practice, is working closely with urban ecologist Jo Ferguson from the Bat Conservation Trust on a project called the ‘Bat’s Highway’.

Cycle hangars in Lambeth

We have reported before, and made representations, on the need for Lambeth Council to provide more cycle hangars in the south of the borough and our local area in particular. Local people, often in shared buildings, need secure cycle parking so they can cycle more. Hills are not an obstacle for many. And then there are electric bikes.
