A number of local roads will be closed for repair works up to early February 2026:

Thornlaw Road: gas mains works
Start: 5 January 2026
End: 18 January 2026

Palace Road from Coburg Crescent to Kinfauns Road: gas mains works
Start: 5 January 2026
End: 30 January 2026

Palace Road at junction with Norwood Road: traffic management works
Start: 12 January 2026
End: 13 January 2026

Croxted Road: examination of railway bridge (following recent lorry strike)
Start: 14 January 2026

Funding Opportunity - Grow Wild UK

Grow Wild UK are offering grants of £2,000 and online knowledge sessions for 23 groups across the UK.
To apply, you must be a not for profit such as a voluntary group, CIC or charity.

West Dulwich: Brockwell Park to Gipsy Hill Healthy Route Extension (Phase 3) and Controlled Parking Zone

Lambeth Council has reported on the outcomes of the public consultation on Phase 3 of the West Dulwich section of the Healthy Route and the proposed West Dulwich Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). Subject to any representations received, a decison will be taken on 14 January 2026 by the Deputy Leader of the Council (Sustainable Lambeth and Clean Air) to implement the Healthy Route proposals and only partially the CPZ proposals. The proposal is a key decision and so also subject to the Council's call in process up to 21 January 2026.

Water access for Lambeth community food growers

Incredible Edible Lambeth is applying for funding to improve access to water for Lambeth food growers.
If you would like to harvest water and use it in your growing space, please tell them now. They  are looking for twenty projects that currently have poor access to water and would like to harvest rain water for their community growing site.
