Walk to School Week 2026

There’s only two weeks left to grab your packs for Walk to School Week 2026. Schools across the UK will be launching operation Mission Move as part of the five-day walking and wheeling challenge.

Love street art? This is your chance to get involved. Funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Brixton Art Club are hosting a FREE 4-week graffiti workshop this April / May for young creatives aged 11–16.

Lambeth Council is inviting parents, carers, schools and local partners to share their views on school term and holiday dates for the 2027/28 academic year.
Have your say on whether they should remain as they are or change to better support families, pupils and schools.

THINC Pitch Night

The THINC Fund is back, this time hosting a Pitch Night designed to back bold ideas from young people who want to improve health and wellbeing in Lambeth and Southwark.

lambeth readers and writers’ festival 2026

The Lambeth Council annual readers and writers’ festival is back on at Lambeth libraries this May and June with a programme full of events for you to enjoy, including true and fictional storytelling, book clubs, a local author book fair, children and school events and more. 

Community Connectors training

Community Connectors are people, who link others in their local community with activities and organisations that can help improve their quality of life. The next training course runs over four days: Monday 18 May, Tuesday 2 June, Wednesday 3 June and Tuesday 30 June (9:30am - 3pm).

Recycle your tin foil

You should now put your clean tin foil and tin takeaway trays, and yoghurt etc pot lids, in your green bin for recycling by Lambeth Council.
