The Herne Hill Forum are organising a series of free talks to inform and inspire local people on how to reduce our energy costs and lower our carbon footprints at the same time.

The SLBI has begun a huge restoration project so the building and garden are both closed to visitors for the next six - nine months. A temporary office will be established at International House in Brixton from February. A programme of events, including online talks, off-site walks, stalls and other community activities will continue.

Holocaust Memorial Day event next Sunday 22 January 2023

Lambeth’s communities are invited to join a Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) commemoration event on Sunday, 22 January at Lambeth Town Hall. The event programme includes a keynote speech from Holocaust survivor Joan Salter MBE, as well as readings and musical performances from children from Lambeth schools and a welcome note from Council Leader, Councillor Claire Holland. The event will also be available to watch online for people who cannot attend in person, and will be Lambeth's first live HMD event since before the Covid-19 pandemic.
