Norwood Forum AGM with guest speaker Helen Hayes MP

If you missed viewing our live-streamed AGM with Helen Hayes MP for Dulwich and West Norwood as our guest speaker, then the full video can be viewed on our new You Tube channel and above. The Zoom link to Facebook Live was down for the first half of the meeting, so you can also catch up on that.

Volunteering opportunities

Lambeth Council publishes local volunteering opportunities on a weekly basis. Here's this week's opportunities in our local area:

Supporting cycling

Cycling is an important part of Lambeth Council's Climate Action Strategy.  Lambeth was installing 20 new cycle hangars last month, with another 25 to be installed around the borough by the end of 2020.  There are few cycle hangers in our local streets, and all are currently full, but you can search to find your nearest and go on the waiting list here.

Shop Local week

Shoppers are being urged by the government to hit the high street and support their local businesses during Shop Local Week (10-16 August). With the wealth of local shops and other businesses we have in West Norwood, Tulse Hill, Gipsy Hill and our other local shopping centres we could not agree more. And of course there's also the temporary Eat Out to Help Out scheme operating Monday to Wednesday in August.

Lambeth COVID-19 stats

Lambeth Council is now to share updated information about the COVID-19 situation in Lambeth via a new Information Dashboard. This is timely as there has been a recent increase in cases in Lambeth. The Council advises:

London's recovery starts with you

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has established the London Recovery Board, with leaders from City Hall, London Councils, businesses, the community and voluntary sectors, trade unions, academia, and health and police services, to guidie London's recovery from the pandemic. The Mayor wants all Londoners to have the opportunity to give their input.
