This week's opportunties for volunteering from Team Lambeth are for the role of welfare caller to work with two organisations - Disability Advice Service Lambeth and Age UK.
The role is for a three month (minimum) placement, working flexibly according to your availability. The welfare caller’s role is to “check in” with members on a regular basis to ensure that they are well, accessing all the services they need, and to reduce the loneliness and isolation they may be feeling. You would also need to be confident and articulate enough to feedback any concerns to the volunteer coordinator, to promote the services that the organisation and its partners have on offer, and to comply with all organisational policies.
