Local enhanced Covid-19 testing completed

Door-to-door testing in parts of West Norwood and some streets in Streatham has now been completed after a case of the Covid-19 variant first identified in South Africa was detected in the area. The project concluded on Wednesday, 24 February.

Switch off your engines

Lambeth Council is supporting the new ‘Engines Off. Every Stop’ anti-idling advertising campaign to target all London drivers. The campaign runs until 21 March 2021.

South London Theatre - courses for young people starting 27 Feb

South London Theatre is running some fantastic online courses for young people. Including - Make a Film, Introduction to Puppetry, Create a Dance Routine, Storytelling and many more. For ages 7 to 18. One-hour workshops are FREE. 4 week courses cost £10 with FREE places for those who need them.
 

Build your family through fostering

The Lambeth Council Fostering Team will be hosting their next online event on Thursday 4 March to talk you through the process of becoming a foster care, the different types of fostering available, and to provide an open forum for you to ask any questions you may have. As the event falls during LGBT+ fostering and Adoption Week, they’d like to welcome anyone to attend, but especially people from LGBT+ backgrounds who have perhaps never thought about fostering before. Lambeth Country Show 2021 to be virtual event

Lambeth Council has anounced that this year's Lambeth Country show will be run on Saturday, 17 July and Sunday, 18 July 2021 as a virtual event due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and uncertainty remaining about when the social distancing and other restrictions needed to stop the spread of the virus will be lifted.

Incredible Edible Lambeth seeks new Directors

Incredible Edible Lambeth, established as a Community Interest Company in 2012, is recruiting new Directors. Their aims are to galvanise people and communities through growing and celebrating food, supporting a thriving local food economy, and teaching the young and old how to grow food.

Incredible Edible Lambeth Seed Give Away

The popular annual Incredible Edible seed swap had to be postponed of course because of Covid-19, but an alternative event has now been organised. Incredible Edible have gathered together all of last year's excess vegetable seeds and obtained a generous donation form Franchi Seeds.
 

Enhanced testing - UPDATE

Working with the Department of Health and Social care, Lambeth has conducted surge testing for Covid-19 in parts of West Norwood and a small section of Streatham following the detection of the South African variant in the area.
