The works along Norwood Road were largely undertaken earlier this month in accordance with the programme. We chased and Lambeth Council advised us last week that the wet weather had prevented the completion of the anti-skid surface laying at the diagonal crossing (York Hill/Lancaster Avenue). There will now be further night time works on Wednesday night 20 September 2023: 10:00pm until 6:00am. See letter to residents with more information here.

These works also require the same local road closures as before, with a wide traffic diversion for both northbound and southbound through traffic and our local buses. The detailed arrangements are set out in the letters to residents (as above).

The works will be undertaken by Lambeth Council's contractor Ringway.

Weather pemitting, this will be the completion of the works along Norwood Road under the Streetworks programme.

Thames Water have yet to get back to Lambeth officers on mending the water leak outside B&Q. In order to minimise local disruption, we have asked again that these works be expedited and that consideration be given to undertaking them alongside the anti-skid works on Wednesday night 20 September 2023.
