The Council's arrangements for the final carriageway works along Norwood Road have changed again. These works will now take place as follows:

• Anti-skid surface at the diagonal crossing (York Hill/Lancaster Avenue); night time works start Wedneday 2 August 2023: 10:00pm until 06:00am. See letter to residents with more information here.
• Resurfacing of the final stretch: Avenue Park Road to the South Circular: night time works from Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 August 2023: 10:00pm to 06:00am. See letter to residents with more information here.

These works will inevitably require local road closures with a wide traffic diversion for both northbound and southbound through traffic and our local buses. The detailed arrangements are set out in the letters to residents

When we last reported on these outstanding works back in June we were pleased that the potential disruption to local residents and businesses was to be minimised by both sets of works being undertaken over the same period. We regret the Council has now reverted to undertaking the works over two separate periods.

The works will be undertaken by Lambeth Council's contractor Ringway.
