Lambeth Council marks first anniversary of George Floyd’s murder

Today Lambeth Council is lighting up Lambeth Town Hall in the colour purple to mark one year since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. His murder by a white police officer in the US a year ago on 25 May, 2020 sparked international protests and saw Black communities declare the fight for equality and against discrimination is far from being achieved.

Restoration of Grade II* listed Brockwell Hall announced

Great news! Lambeth Council, in partnership with Brockwell Park Community Partners, has been granted £3.3million by the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards a project to restore the Grade II* listed Brockwell Hall, its Stables and Coach House into a venue for community and commercial use. 

Sharing your experiences of NHS and Social Care Services

Healthwatch Lambeth is the independent champion for people using local health and social care services. They are asking people living or working in Lambeth to take part in a survey about their views and experiences of sharing feedback about local NHS and social care services.

Healthwatch Volunteer Week event – 7 June

Join Healthwatch and other volunteers during National Volunteers’ Week to think about managing stress, improving resilience and how to look after your own wellbeing as a volunteer.

Crystal Palace Festival and South Facing Festival

This year Crystal Palace Festival will be working with South Facing Festival to bring free mid-week music and arts entertainment across the month of August 2021. The best local talent and artists in South London will be performing at the bowl in Crystal Palace Park. There will not be a standalone Crystal Palace Festival in the park or across the high street this year due to the impact of the pandemic on their funding.

Lambeth Libraries opening up

From today Monday 17 May the government Roadmap out of lockdown Step 3 comes into effect and library services across Lambeth continue with a gradual opening up. You can make an appointment at Upper Norwood and West Norwood Libraries to browse books, use a PC and book a study space:
