upCYCLE LDN bike repair workshops

Lambeth Council has a day workshop coming up to teach young people how to fix their bikes. This FREE basic bike maintenance course is aimed at 13- to 18-year-olds and will take place during the Easter break.

OurBike community electric cargo bike share scheme

The community electric cargo bike share scheme enables residents and businesses to hire an electric cargo bike by the hour. The bikes are hosted by local businesses, who ensure that the battery remains charged and keep an eye on the bikes which are locked up outside of their premises. They can be used by residents to go shopping, take their kids to the park, or by local businesses who want an easy and sustainable way to make deliveries to nearby customers.

TfL plans to lower speed limits on more London roads

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a consultation on plans to introduce 65km of new 20mph speed limits within Lambeth and various other boroughs. Lowering speeds is a key part of the Mayor's Vision Zero goal to eliminate death and serious injury from London's transport network and enable more walking and cycling in the capital.     

Knight's Hill resurfacing works from 9 March 2023

We understand that some local residents yesterday received notification of road resurfacing works on Knight's Hill from Ernest Avenue (the bus garage) to St. Vincent Close (near the Fire Station). We had not been informed and so sought further information from Lambeth.
