Clear Community Web: IT help in these current times

Based at the Upper Norwood Library, Clear Community Web can help non-profits, community groups and local residents during these confusing times.  Via one to one sessions and small group support, advice and hands-on help is offered to:

Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic: Lambeth signs pledge to support community groups

Lambeth Council has advised:

“along with a wider group of funders, Lambeth Council recognises that the covid-19 outbreak is an exceptional event that will have an impact on civil society groups, and want to offer reassurance that we stand with the sector during this time.  

To make good on that pledge Lambeth Council has signed up to London Funders which commits the organisation to taking a flexible, friendly and financially understanding approach when supporting the groups we fund and support.

Friends of Gipsy Hill: lamp post banner competition

With the support of the local community and traders, Friends of Gipsy Hill have secured funding for an exciting project to install at least two lamp post banners, starting at the entrance to Gipsy Road, for the display of local artwork! They are calling on all local talent (of any age) with a connection to the area to submit artwork that brightens the area, captures the spirit of Gipsy Hill and represent the great restaurants, pubs and shops, through artwork.

The theme is: “eat, drink, entertainment”.

Windsor Grove: scrap metal yard

Following the public consultation exhibitions in December 2019 on the proposed development of the Windsor Grove site by Southwark Metals, Norwood Forum made representations on a number of issues. A few weeks ago we received a response from the consultants working on behalf of Southwark  Metals. Essentially, we were informed that further information on the most important issues of:

Launch of Northwood GP Co-op Gardening Club

When: Tuesday 3 March 2020 10am-12noon
Where: The North Wood Group Practice, 61 Crown Dale, London, SE21 3NY 

Are you registered with the Northwood GP practice and would like a little gardening “therapy”.
Gardening for all abilities from beginners upwards. All tools provided. Six raised beds for vegetables. Plus general gardening

Following the launch meet up, meetings will be Tuesday from 10am - 12noon
