Love Lambeth Valentine's Day campaign

The Love Lambeth news team at Lambeth Council have launched a Valentine's Day campaign to celebrate peace, love and unity in our wonderful borough, and are asking partners and friends like you to get involved. They say:

Tea and Tech: digital life skills sessions

A series of eight workshops covering Digital Life Skills are to be held by our friends Tea and Tech from Crystal Palace. These sessions are to be held at Gipsy Hill.

Scholarship grants: apply now!

QEST provides grants of up to £18,000, for scholarships and apprenticeships for craftspeople intending to do specific training. The grants support scholarships of up to a year, and apprenticeships of three years. 

White Hart pub, Tulse Hill: Licensing application

We are pleased to hear a licensing application has been submitted to reopen the White Hart at Tulse Hill station. The pub is now owned by The Brading Group who run the popular Prince of Peckham pub at Peckham Rye. Full details on the application can be read here on the excellent Brixton Buzz website.

Streatham terrorist incident

Councillor Jack Hopkins (Leader of Lambeth Council), Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Messinger (Lambeth Borough Police Commander), Councillor Mohammed Seedat (Lambeth Council Cabinet Member for Community Safety) and Saleha Jaffer (Chair, Faiths Together in Lambeth) have written to local residents following last Sunday's terrorist incident.  The letter includes details of support services, and can be read here.
