In accordance with government advice in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, theatres are shutting their doors, including our local South London Theatre. Here’s the SLT message in full:
"We wanted to let you know that we've postponed this week’s show, Do Not Disturb, as one of the cast members is self-isolating in accordance with the current advice from Public Health England. Anyone who has already bought tickets should already have received a refund through TicketSource, and we've been in touch with anyone who bought tickets directly through our box office. We have also postponed the shows that follow in accordance with Monday's statement from the government.
This means all SLT activities at the Old Fire Station have ceased for the time being until government guidelines advise otherwise.
This decision has not been taken lightly, and we know how disappointing it will be for those involved in shows and activities at SLT. But we hope everyone understands the importance of looking after our whole community.
We're currently working on plans for our 2020 Autumn Winter season and will be doing everything possible to give any shows that can’t go ahead now another opportunity to perform at a later date. More news on this will follow as soon as possible.
We'll continue to update members through LoveAdmin, which manages our membership database, so please make sure your contact details are up to date. We'll place notices on the website and Facebook pages too.
Thanks again for your support. If you have any concerns please contact Bex Law, Building Manager or one of the Committee members. We hope to see you very soon!
Our very best wishes
Simon Gleisner (Chair, General Council), Adam Crook (Chair, Members' Club), Charlotte Benstead (Chair, Building Preservation Trust)"
