Launch of Lambeth Council’s new tree strategy

Further to our earlier story, Norwood residents can expect to see greener streets and public spaces following the launch of Lambeth Council’s Urban Forest strategy. But, as one of Lambeth’s leafiest areas, we will not be at the front of the queue for tree-planting.

Youth workshops at SLT

The South London Theatre has two youth workshops coming up on Saturday 9 December 2023: 

Lambeth Council’s Urban Forest Strategy

Lambeth Council’s Urban Forest Strategy is to be launched on 25 November. The strategy lays out the Council’s plans to increase the canopy cover of the borough by planting over 5000 trees in the next three years, as well as maintaining the existing tree stock.

Get cycling!

News from Lambeth Council about free cycle training for anyone who lives, works, or studies in the Borough:

• Private 1-1 sessions, family sessions, or group sessions.
• From beginner sessions in an off-road environment, to advance sessions dealing with complex junctions.
• Assistance with planning routes to wherever you would like to go, and then cycling them with an instructor.

Avenue Park Road development receives approval

Lambeth Council's Planning Applications Committee has approved the proposed development on the south side of Tulse Hill railway station - on land on the corner of Avenue Park Road and Thurlow Park Road (the south circular).

Lambeth's Polling District Review: consultation

Lambeth Council is carrying out a review of polling arrangements in Lambeth Council in order to ensure their arrangements are fit for purpose. You can share your views by email or letter, after reading the consultation documents. The closing date is Tuesday, 12 December 2023 at 11.59pm.
