This summer, London became the world’s first National Park City, a commitment to make the capital greener, healthier and wilder. Now the London Mayor is giving away thousands of trees for Londoners to plant during National Tree Week, 23 November - 1 December 2019. You can take part in three ways:
- Free trees to plant at home. We’re working with the Woodland Trust and People’s Postcode Lottery to give away packs of two trees to plant at home. There are 30,000 trees up for grabs. Apply now.
- Community groups and schools, can set up their own tree planting events and sign up for packs of 10, 20 or 50 trees.
- Volunteers can also get stuck into local community planting events. Opportunities will be listed on the London Mayor’s website over the next month.
