Lambeth Council has published its responses to issues raised by residents under its earlier consultation exercise on its budget challenge. The Council's headline responses are:
5,155 people completed the online survey. Our submitted written representations made in November, covered:
- Necessary clarifications on the published survey
- Making better use of the volunteer sector
- Housing
- External funding
- Lambeth’s property portfolio
- Enforcement
We received no substantive response on our suggestions - to seek clarification, advice on how they were to be explored, or reasons why not if they were deemed unfeasible. We did receive advice though separately on the future of two empty properties.
You can read more about how the Council is considering the submitted views here on the Love Lambeth website and the detailed report to Cabinet is here (see Appendix 2 to item 6). The minutes of the Cabinet meeting will be published here tomorrow Friday 6 February 2026, or you can listen to a recording now.
The Council’s budget for 2026-27 is due to be approved at the full Council meeting on 4 March 2026.
