Tulse Hill Gyratory Safety Scheme - consultation

You may remember that Norwood Forum led a community project called Streetworks from 2013 (background can be found here) which was designed to bring improvements to the street landscape from Tulse Hill to West Norwood. Much of that project was realised, but some final items remain. These include a street art project fund, installation of street furniture, and the finishing off of the road markings designating the diagonal crossing at the junction of Norwood Road/Lancaster Ave/York Hill, as well as snagging items.

However progress on the largest item - the removal of Tulse Hill Gyratory - has stalled since before Covid, when TfL's budget was severly reduced. With strong leadership from our local councillors, especially Cllr Olga Fitzroy, and MP, Helen Hayes, this project was resurrected 18months ago with TfL funding the first stages of investigation/data collection etc.

As part of this re-boot TfL are proposing a range of interim interventions and are seeking the community's constructive thoughts on these. Deadline is 30 October, find out more here Please find time over the next couple of days to add yours.
