No trains will run between Streatham Hill and Crystal Palace / Norwood Junction for nine days from Saturday 24 August to Sunday 1 September. That's no trains at all at Gipsy Hill and West Norwood stations.
Southern services between London Bridge / London Victoria and Streatham Hill / Crystal Palace / West Croydon / Beckenham Junction, and between London Bridge and London Victoria will all be affected. For instance a very limited rush hour service is set to run between Victoria and Streatham Hill, and there will be no trains at all at Crystal Palace over the Bank Holiday weekend (24-26 August). Services at intermediary stations such as Tulse Hill will also be reduced.
You will need to plan your alternative journeys beforehand and check again just before you plan to travel. Other services will inevitably be busier. Tickets will be accepted on London Buses, London Overground and London Underground services
National Rail say five sets of switches and crossings, the moveable rails and 1500m of track will be replaced with newer equipment.
