This walk, led by Geoff Fairbairn, will visit the little house built by a master plasterer as a showcase for his skills, the building that should have featured in Poirot, the pub where Thomas Harris died as reported in newspapers across the UK, the place where a company began trading whose brand name has become a noun and a verb (like “hoover” – but it wasn’t Hoover), the boulevard that leads to nowhere, and more.
