A general election will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024. You must be registered to vote at elections.
Information from Lambeth Council includes the following:
- All registered British, Irish and qualifying Commonwealth citizens aged 18 or over on the day of the election can vote at UK Parliamentary General elections
- This includes British citizens living overseas
- The deadline for registering to vote in this election is 11.59pm, Tuesday 18 June, 2024
- If you're already registered to vote, you do not need to register again
- If you’ve recently moved house, you may still be registered to vote at your previous address. You should ask your previous local authority about the status of your electoral registration
- If you changed address within Lambeth, please contact Lambeth Electoral Services to check if you’re still registered to vote.
- Every registered voter can apply apply for a postal vote; the deadlne for this election is 5pm Wednesday 19 June 2024
And do remember your photo ID when you go to the Polling Station to vote on Thursday 4 July. There is full advice here from the Electoral Commission. If you do not have an accepted form of photo ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate; the deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.
