KINETIKA BLOCO - JUNIOR AND SENIOR SUMMER SCHOOLS

Kineika Bloco, a youth music charity, is holding workshops this summer to introduce young people to their activities: an exuberant mix of young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan and dancers all in costume creating a “unique new British Carnival sound with a decidedly London edge” (BBC Radio 2).

Existing since 2000, and established as a charity in June 2010, Kineika Bloco is a Creative Learning artner at Southbank Centre and an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation. There are two workshops:

Senior Summer School (14-25 year olds): 
You can learn drumming, steel pans, brass/woodwind or dance. Join for two weeks of creative learning, making friends, having fun and creating a show of the final night for friends and family.
When: 12-23 August 2024 (week days only); 10.30am-5.30pm
Where: Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX
Cost: £40 (bursaries available on request)

Junior Summer School (8-13 year olds):
This summer, Kinetika Bloco are celebrating 10 yrs of Junior Summer School! It'll be fun-filled with the usual Brass, Dance, Drums, and Steel Pans. Join the party this summer!
When: 29 July-2August 2024 (week days only); 10.00am-4.30pm
Where: TBC
Cost:  £15 suggested donation
