The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, funded by the Department of Education has been expanded into 2024 so that children aged between 4 - 16 years (Reception- Year 11) in receipt of benefits-related free school meals in England will be offered free healthy meals and enriching activities over the spring, summer and winter holidays.

Lambeth’s Spring of Food and Fun 2024 will fund holiday clubs for up to 9 days from Tuesday 2 April - Friday 12 April 2024 (the actual number of days funded will depend the availability of funding / number of applications received). Applications to run holiday clubs are now sought by the deadline of Sunday 28 January 2024 at 8pm.

As you are probably aware, due to funding from City Hall, all primary school children in London are eligible for free school meals for a minimum of one year from September 2023. The main eligibility criteria for the HAF, however, remains benefit-related free school meals. Lambeth Council will cross check every funded CYP against the FSM register to check availability.
