Held annually each year around the borough, this year’s local history fair is being held in West Norwood, through the kind permission of Lambeth Libraries and Picturehouse Cinemas.
Meet members of the Lambeth Local History Forum and Lambeth Council Archives to learn about their work and how you might join in.
There will be walks and talks and local history publications on sale throughout the day. Norwood Forum is curating a short series of local interest films (11am - 12:30pm).
Their Finest Hour, the University of Oxford digital history project, will also be present. This is a nationwide campaign organised by a team based at the University of Oxford and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which is collecting and preserving the everyday stories and objects of the Second World War.
Entry to the fair is FREE and there is a café on site for light refreshments with toilet facilities.
Further info.: The Fair is the opening event of the month long Lambeth Heritage Festival; see brochure here for full details.
When: Saturday 2 September 2023; 11:00am - 4:30pm
