Thames Water have closed Norwood High Street just south of the junction with Robson Road to repair a leaking pipe.
A large hole has been dug just to the south of the entrance to West Norwood Cemetery, and works will apparently continue until sometime on Thursday 28 July. Lambeth Council had asked that works being carried out continuously but this was not he case today (Friday). No other information was available from Thames Water as to the road traffic and bus diversions route in place or whether the road might be partially reopened beforehand.
We understand from TfL that southbound buses (nos 2, 68, 468, 432, 322 and 315) are diverted from the Tulse Hill gyratory. Other road traffic is diverted via Streatham using the A205 South Circular, A23 Streatham Hill, Leigham Court Road, A214 Crown Lane, and Elder Road. Delays on these roads are to be expected.
