Our local NHS South East London Clinical Commissioning Group writes:
1) Half term walk-in COVID-19 vaccination opportunities for 12-15 year-olds in south east London
Young people are primarily being offered the vaccination through their school immunisation service, and parents/carers will be contacted in advance. Vaccinations are also available in a number of settings, bookable via the national booking service or on a walk-in basis. Those with underlying health conditions will be contacted by their GP practice or specialist.
To support the in-school offer we are opening up a number of clinics to walk-in vaccination for 12-15 year-olds during this half term holiday. Parents and carers are welcome to attend with their child/ren or young person/people if they wish, but this is not usually required for the child/young person to receive their vaccination. Slots are available locally over half term at St Thomas’ Hospital, Montgomery Hall in Kennington and Streatham Place GP Surgery – please check the 12-15s page on our website for dates and times as these vary.
2) Walk-ins set to open again at Montgomery Hall
The Montgomery Hall vaccination centre will open its doors to walk-ins again next week, Tuesday 26 October. Alongside COVID-19 vaccinations for 12-15 year-olds, they will be able to offer first jabs for those aged 16+ who haven’t yet had theirs, second jabs for 18+ (8 weeks after first) and boosters (6 months after second jab for eligible groups). Please check the SEL CCG walk-in page for details of these and other walk-in opportunities including pharmacies and the Lambeth Together Health and Wellbeing Bus.
