This will be the last Mambista event at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses for 2021 so you really don’t want to miss out.
The first night with Soothsayers (+ Youthsayers) was joyful - despite the showers - with great music, lovely food and the Mambista Massive, in a truly beautiful setting; and Alvorada's live Choro music on August 15th was luscious!
Frank Williams left South Africa in 1978 and made his name in the UK in the 1980s playing with fellow South African jazz exiles in Chris McGregor's legendary Brotherhood of Breath and, later, Dudu Pukwana's Zila.
The African Jazz Quartet deliver high quality South African Township Jazz and Highlife grooves; featuring the soaring South African Sax Colossus: Frank Williams, Dynamite Dan Waldman on guitar, Melodious Michael Bailey on the bass and Kickin’ Kofi Adu on the drums.
