Incredible Edible Lambeth, established as a Community Interest Company in 2012, is recruiting new Directors. Their aims are to galvanise people and communities through growing and celebrating food, supporting a thriving local food economy, and teaching the young and old how to grow food.
They comment:
"Thiis past year has seen an explosion of interest in food growing and the recognition that getting out into green space and engaging with nature is essential for our health - physical and mental. In the past nine months we have secured funding from three different funders to provide support for food growers and to create a new template of engagement for managing green spaces around estates for biodiversity and food growing. We are working with six estates to trial this template. In addition, we are working with Arup to map existing and potential green spaces across the whole borough, so we can better understand where there is more space available for food growing and biodiversity projects. "
