This year Valentine’s Day will fall on a Sunday. There will sadly be no candlelit dinners in restaurants or special trips out.

However, local cafes, restaurants and pubs will be offering click & collect/delivery of themed meals, and local butchers, bakeries, supermarkets etc. will tempt you with special offers for your at home celebration. The Love in Lockdown list of local Valentines offers usefully put together by Station to Station will give you some ideas.

Festival of Love
The fabulous Folk on Foot will be hosting an online Festival of Love from 2pm until 8pm.
Each artist will sing an original love song, a traditional love song and a cover version of someone else’s love song.
The Festival is free to watch, but if you can, please show your love for musicians by making a donation. Half the money raised will go to the charity Help Musicians whose work supporting musicians facing severe financial hardship is even more important as the lockdown continues, and the other half will be divided equally between the 28 artists involved.
