The Lambeth Public Health team have written with an update on the current COVID-19 restrictions:
"As you will now be aware the Government has announced that London is moving to local Covid-19 level ‘High’, resulting in an increase of restrictions for residents in Lambeth and across the capital. The restrictions came into force at midnight on Friday 16 October 2020 .
The ‘High’ level, part of the government’s change in the structure of Covid-19 restrictions earlier this week, restricts mixing between households indoors, apart from in support bubbles. This includes private homes, and any other indoor venue such as pubs and restaurants. The 10pm curfew for hospitality venues remains in place.
People may continue to see friends and family they do not live with (or have not formed a support bubble with) outside, including in a garden or other outdoor space. When people do so, they must not meet in a group of more than six. This limit of six includes children of any age. (Please see attached posters with the rules relating to the new High level alert). There continues to be an increasing rise in coronavirus cases in Lambeth and across London. To keep up to date with the situation in Lambeth, please visit https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/
We are asking that Lambeth residents, businesses and the community support these new measures by following the rules and abiding by the public health advice – washing their hands, wearing a face covering in required settings like shops and public transport and socially distancing from those outside their households.
Also if people have coronavirus symptoms, they must isolate at home and get tested by going to https://www.gov.uk/get-
Thank you again for your support in working with us to keep our communities safe. We are developing a range of local resources to support the messages we have highlighted which will be available to download soon. We will inform you when they will be accessible from our website but in the interim please see attached. For more information about the type of support available in Lambeth please go to https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/
