The South London Botanical Institute is running a Make Summer Memorable programme of workshops for children aged 7-13 years in the SLBI gardens, and has a downloadable trail to three locations and guidance on how to make a mini-zine and a flower press.
The workshops cover planting up bicycle rack planters, making cuttings, pollinator palaces and honey tasting, habitats and pond dipping, pressing flowers and making your own herbarium specimens, Botany Club and sun photography. Workshops are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 to 26 August 2020 - 10 - 11:30am and 2 - 3:30pm. Further information here on the SLBI website events page. We also list all the workshops in our events listing here.
The downloadable trail takes in the SLBI but also incorporates visits to Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses and West Norwood Cemetery. In addition, there is guidance on how to make a mini-zine and a flower press for making your own herbarium specimen.
