If you can prise yourself away from your box set take a look overhead tonight to see the Flower moon that signifies spring and the flowers that bloom during the month of May. This is the third and final supermoon of the year and is expected to be especially prominent tonight, Thursday 7 May. The moon will appear bigger than usual on Thursday morning, when it sets at around 5.42am in London, as well as on Thursday evening, when it rises at around 8.44pm. The term supermoon occurs when the moon is around 226,000 miles away from the Earth which is considered to be close by. During this time it appears 14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual.
