Earthwatch Europe launches ‘Wild Days’ - a new online indoor/outdoor learning service for families in lockdown
They have launched a new service for parents to help children feel that they are doing something positive for nature and connected to the outdoors, and to help reduce anxiety among families during the lockdown period.
The programme will cover the themes of wildlife, food, water, soil, climate and shelter and will feature Earthwatch ambassadors including naturalist and TV presenter, Nick Baker, and Michaela Strachan, presenter of the BBC’s Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch programmes.
Every day they will be publishing a set of structured activities and video content to guide you through around an hour of outdoor learning that you can do in your own green space (in line with government guidance!). Each daily edition has been created for children aged 4-11 by Earthwatch Europe’s scientists and outdoor learning experts, to help you utilise the greatest learning resource out there: nature.
This is not a free resource. Cost is £3 a day or £8 for a full week. All of the money raised goes to their charity, Earthwatch Europe, to help continue their work to protect the planet for everyone.
