The Holiday Activity and Food programme, funded by Department of Education, has been expanded into 2022 so that children aged between 4 -16 years (Reception- Year 11) in receipt of benefits-related free school meals in England will be offered free healthy meals and enriching activities over the spring, summer and winter holidays in all Local Authorities in England.

Applications are now invited by Lambeth for funding for the Winter holiday period for holiday provision in the Borough.

Lambeth’s Winter of Food and Fun will fund holiday clubs for a maximum of eight days (Monday 19- Friday 23 December 2022 and Wednesday 28- Friday 30 December 2022). The programme's objectives are to encourage eligible children to:

• Eat more healthily
• Be more active
• Take part in engaging and enriching activities
• Be safe and not isolated
• Have greater knowledge of health and nutrition
• Be more engaged with school and other services
• Have greater knowledge and awareness of holiday club provision
